We're changing the way chemicals are made.

Yes, chemicals can be green.

Trillium Renewable Chemicals is a pioneer in the manufacture of green, drop-in renewable chemicals. Our green drop-in replacement acrylonitrile offers customers a path to sustainable carbon fiber, acrylic fiber, and ABS plastic with minimal disruption to their supply chains.

01

The demand exists — and is growing.

Acrylonitrile (ACN) are used around the world to manufacture everything from toys, to apparel, to personal care products, to food. Worldwide demand is 6 million tons per year and growing. All told, acrylonitrile is a $14B market that includes fast growing segments like carbon fiber.

02

Customers are looking for green alternatives.

The $80 billion renewable chemicals market is growing at around 11 percent annually. According to McKinsey research*, four of five consumers consider sustainability when making purchases.

03

Proven, patented technology ready to scale.

Our two-step chemical process was invented in 2014 and has been carefully developed with over $9M in R&D funding. After 7 years of extensive lab- and pilot-scale testing, we are ready to scale to commercial operation. Our team is developing the engineering design for the first flagship plant right now. With experienced team and unit cost economics on par with the conventional fossil route, we are ready to commercialize a greener way to make chemicals.
